Our step by step process and materials!
ASPHALT PREP WORK
Asphalt prep work is the first step and also one of the most important steps in our process. In this process we clean and expose as much of the drive as possible removing all overgrowth of weeds or grass along the edges of the drive as well as in any cracks that have formed or potholes. Asphalt sealant must have a clean surface to adhere properly.
HOT RUBBER CRACK FILL
After asphalt is all clean, prepped and ready, We use a specialty grade, premium quality hot pour crack and joint rubber sealant. This rubber compound has excellent bonding qualities and is used to fill any open cracks or joints in the asphalt. This seals up the asphalt to protect asphalt against water penetration..
PATCH FILL FOR ASPHALT POTHOLES
If water has already gotten down into the base of your asphalt creating holes, we can patch them. We use one of the best pre-mixed, permanent repair material that is enduring, high-performing and 100% environmentally friendly. The proprietary “green” binder in the product we use reacts and hardens with solely water—unlike other asphalt patching products available on the market today containing toxic petroleum-based solvents with volatile organic compounds. In today’s economy, lasting repair is a top priority.
PITCH BLACK SEALANT
And Finally one of our finishing touches! We seal everything in with a sealant called Pitch Black. Pitch Black asphalt pavement sealer is a premium, proprietary polymer reinforced, high-grade, custom asphalt emulsion sealcoat blended with carefully selected minerals, fillers, and fibers, formulated specifically to produce a superior asphalt maintenance product. Each component was selected for its unique characteristics, which when combined creates a highly adhesive, extremely flexible seal coat with the deepest and longest lasting black color, firmest body, and greatest durability. In addition, it is free from asbestos fibers or any other carcinogenic materials and is non-flammable. The co-efficient of expansion and contraction of this asphalt emulsion sealer is identical to that of asphaltic concrete pavements and has a natural affinity for bonding to them. Pitch Black asphalt pavement sealer weatherproofs porous asphalt surfaces, prohibits penetration of water and oil, and blocks harmful ultraviolet rays by leaving a tough protective coating on asphalt pavement surfaces. In addition, Pitch Black asphalt pavement sealer fills small voids, and seals in spalling particles, helping to provide a smoother surface and allow better run-off of water. The producers of the Pitch Black formula have gone beyond the usual steps in specifying what types and percentages of crude oils must be used in the asphalt emulsification process. The asphalt emulsion used in Pitch Black is made by adding specific, custom emulsifiers in a process that produces a product that readily accepts minerals, fillers, and additives in seal coat manufacturing that is so necessary to the final quality of the seal coat product. This results in a superior asphalt seal coat with special properties giving it a hard, smooth and longer lasting surface. PAINT FOR PARKING LOTS
FOR PARKING LOTS: Our last and final step is the finishing touches of parking lot paint. We use a fast drying asphalt paint and we offer vibrant colors for parking lot lines as well as any additional signage needed such as directional arrows or handicap parking locations. This process must take place after freshly sealed asphalt has dried enough to walk on. Your clients or customers will have no doubts where they should be parking!
